Slaty-legged Crake, Rallina eurizonoides, is a rail in the family Rallidae that breeds widely across the Oriental Region and Australasia. It lives in swamps and other wet places in wooded country, with a range extending from India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka through to the Philippines and Indonesia. The bird is also known as the banded crake. It is a secretive territorial species, and when disturbed it keeps to cover in bushes. It nests on the ground or in low shrubs, usually close to forest paths or streams.
