Slender-billed Babbler, Argya longirostris, is a bird of the Oriental Region, breeding from Nepal to south-west Myanmar. It also occurs in Bangladesh and north-east India. It belongs to the laughingthrush family, Leiothrichidae. Its natural home is subtropical or tropical lowland grassland that is seasonally wet or flooded. The species was once included in Turdoides, but a molecular study in 2018 led to its transfer to Argya. It is affected by habitat loss.
