Pachyptila belcheri (Mathews, 1912)

Slender-billed Prion, Pachyptila belcheri, is a petrel in the family Procellariidae that breeds in the Southern Ocean at Isla Noir off southern Chile, the Falkland Islands, the Crozet Islands and Kerguelen. Outside the breeding season it ranges widely across southern oceans, reaching the Humboldt Current off western South America, the coast of southern Brazil and southern Australasia. It was first described by Mathews in 1912. The bird is also known as the thin-billed prion, and it is one of the prions placed in the order Procellariiformes.
