Slender-billed Vulture

Slender-billed Vulture, Gyps tenuirostris, is an Accipitridae bird of the Oriental Region, breeding from the Himalayas through south-east Asia. It is found in sub-Himalayan areas and across south-east Asia, and it can be separated from the Indian Vulture by its range and by the fact that it nests in trees. The two species do not overlap in distribution, and trained observers can tell them apart at long distance. It was described by Gray, GR, in 1844.
