Slender-billed Weaver, Ploceus pelzelni, is a bird in the weaver family found in central and western Africa. It occurs thinly across equatorial parts of the continent, with records along the Gulf of Guinea coast, the Congo River, and in the Lake Victoria region. Its placement in Ploceidae identifies it as one of the weavers. Described by Hartlaub in 1887, it belongs to the order Passeriformes. The species is associated with a broad but patchy African breeding range rather than a continuous spread.
