Zimmerius gracilipes (Sclater, PL & Salvin, 1868)

Slender-footed Tyrannulet, Zimmerius gracilipes, is a passerine bird of Amazonia in South America. It belongs to the tyrant flycatcher family and was first described in 1868 by Sclater and Salvin. It is a bird of humid forest in tropical and lower montane zones, using both terra firme and várzea. In intact forest it is usually in the canopy, especially near openings and forest margins, and it also uses secondary growth and farmland beside forest. Its range covers Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. It is a year-round resident, and its breeding season is not fully defined.
