Small Niltava
Cyanoptila cumatilis
The Small Niltava is a small passerine bird found in the forests of Southeast Asia. It is known for its distinctive blue and white plumage, with the male having a bright blue upper body and the female being more subdued in color. These birds are often found in the lower and middle levels of dense, moist forests, where they forage for insects and small fruits. They are known for their melodious and varied songs, which are often heard during the breeding season. The Small Niltava is not currently considered to be at risk, but its forest habitat is increasingly threatened by deforestation and habitat degradation.
