Snethlage's Antpitta, Hylopezus paraensis, is a passerine of the Grallariidae family found in western and southern Amazonian Brazil. It occurs in the undergrowth of mature terra firme forest in lowland country, with a range that lies mostly in Pará and reaches a little into Maranhão. It is resident across its range. The species was first described by Emilie Snethlage in 1910, and it is monotypic. Its known breeding range is South America: w, s Amazonian Brazil.
