The Solomons Frogmouth, also known as the Solomon Islands Frogmouth, is a nocturnal bird species found in the Solomon Islands. It belongs to the family Podargidae and is known for its distinctive frog-like call. This medium-sized bird has a mottled brown and grey plumage, which provides excellent camouflage in the dense forests where it resides. The Solomons Frogmouth primarily feeds on insects and small vertebrates, using its wide bill to catch prey. Due to habitat loss and potential predation by invasive species, the conservation status of this species is currently listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN.
