Zosterops anomalus
The Solomons White-eye (Zosterops anomalus) is a small passerine bird found in the Solomon Islands. It has a distinctive white ring around the eye, and its plumage is mostly olive-green with a yellow belly. This species is known for its melodious and varied song, often heard in the forest canopy. Solomons White-eyes primarily feed on insects, nectar, and fruits. They are commonly found in lowland and montane forests, as well as in gardens and secondary growth. Due to habitat loss and potential predation by invasive species, the conservation status of the Solomons White-eye is currently listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN.
