Somali Bunting, Emberiza poliopleura, is a bunting of the family Emberizidae that breeds in semiarid scrub across eastern Africa, from central Ethiopia and Somalia south-east through far south-eastern South Sudan to northern Tanzania. It was described by Salvadori in 1888. It is associated with dry savannah and tropical dry shrubland, and is usually seen in pairs. It is a medium-large passerine with a black-and-white face, a grey back marked with russet, a grey rump, and a yellow breast with pale flanks. Females and juveniles are duller, and the species is paler than Golden-breasted Bunting.
