Sombre Hummingbird, Eupetomena cirrochloris, is a hummingbird of south-east and eastern Brazil, where it breeds in the Atlantic Forest and nearby transition zones. It was described by Vieillot in 1818. The species is found in humid forest edges and undergrowth, as well as plantations and gardens. It has a slightly downcurved black bill, bronzy green upperparts with a coppery sheen on the uppertail coverts, dull grey underparts with a few dull green throat spots, and a square tail with green central feathers and black outer feathers.
