Song Parrot is a parrot of the Bismarck Archipelago and the Solomon Islands, including Bougainville Island in Papua New Guinea but not Rennel. It belongs to the family Psittaculidae. Its natural home is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest. Records from Molehanua village on Ugi Island show an inter-island colonisation pattern across landmasses of different sizes.
