Leucocarbo georgianus
South Georgia Shag, Leucocarbo georgianus, is a marine cormorant found on South Georgia and Shag Rocks in the South Atlantic, with former records from nearby subantarctic islands now treated separately. It is usually placed among the blue-eyed shags and has a form like a blue-eyed shag, though it is a little larger. The bird has a long, sturdy bill with grooves on the upper part and a hooked tip, plus a throat pouch. Its breeding season runs from October to December, and both parents share incubation.
