South Melanesian Cuckooshrike, Coracina caledonica, is a bird of Vanuatu and New Caledonia, including the Loyalty Islands, in the cuckooshrike family. It is a member of Passeriformes and was described by Gmelin in 1788. The species is associated with moist lowland and montane forest. It is a large cuckooshrike with a long, square tail and dark grey plumage throughout. Adults have yellow eyes, while juveniles have dark eyes. Four subspecies are recognised, with forms recorded from islands across its range.
