The Southern Anteater-Chat (Myrmecocichla formicivora) is a small bird found in southern Africa. It is known for its distinctive habit of foraging for insects on the ground, resembling an anteater. It prefers open savannas and grasslands with scattered shrubs and trees, where it can easily hunt for its insect prey. The Southern Anteater-Chat is considered a species of Least Concern by the IUCN, with stable populations and no major threats identified.
