The Southern Grey-headed Sparrow (Passer diffusus) is a small, sociable bird found in southern Africa. It is characterized by its grey head, brown upperparts, and streaked underparts. These sparrows are often found in open woodlands, savannas, and suburban areas, foraging for seeds and insects on the ground. They build cup-shaped nests in trees or buildings and are known for their melodious calls. The Southern Grey-headed Sparrow is not currently considered to be at risk, and its population is stable.
