Southern Grey-headed Sparrow, Passer diffusus, is a sparrow of open woodland and human-made habitats in southern Africa, from eastern and southern Angola and eastern Zambia through southern Tanzania to South Africa. It belongs to the family Passeridae. It is set apart by its treatment as a separate bird rather than a subspecies of the grey-headed sparrow. In South Africa, its range is spreading. It is also kept in cages.
