Speckle-breasted Antpitta, Cryptopezus nattereri, is a passerine of the antpitta family found in south-east South America, with its breeding range in eastern Paraguay, north-east Argentina and southern to south-east Brazil. It lives on the ground and in the undergrowth of humid montane forest and mature secondary woodland, especially where vegetation is thick and bamboo is present. It is the only member of its genus. Adults show pale buff lores, a whitish moustache, bare skin around the eye, and speckled underparts with a darker pattern on the breast, sides and flanks.
