Speckled Pigeon, Columba guinea, is a pigeon of Africa, where it breeds widely across the continent. It is a resident bird in much of Africa south of the Sahara and is often found in open country, though its range has notable gaps. The species is medium-sized and has a rufous back and wings marked with white spots. Its upperparts and underparts are blue-grey, the head is grey with red skin around the eye, and the neck is brownish with white streaking. The legs are red. The sexes look alike, while young birds are browner and lack the red eye patches.
