Spectacled Petrels are highly adapted for life at sea, spending the majority of their lives on the open ocean, where they feed on fish, squid, and crustaceans. They are known for their agile flight and can cover vast distances in search of food. Breeding in remote colonies on islands in the Southern Ocean, this species faces threats from introduced predators and habitat degradation.
