Ploceus spekeoides
Speke's Weaver (Ploceus spekeoides) is a small passerine bird found in East Africa, particularly in Kenya and Tanzania. It is known for its striking yellow and black plumage, with the male displaying a bright yellow head and underparts, and the female having a more subdued coloration. These weavers are highly social birds, often found in large flocks, and are known for their intricate and elaborately woven nests. They primarily feed on seeds and insects, foraging in open grasslands and savannas. Speke's Weaver is not currently considered to be at risk, and its population is believed to be stable.
