Spillmann's Tapaculo, Scytalopus spillmanni, is a passerine in the tapaculo family that breeds in South America from Colombia to Ecuador. It lives in the Andes, including all three Colombian ranges and parts of Ecuador, with records west to Cotopaxi Province and east to Morona-Santiago Province. It favours the undergrowth of humid montane forest, especially where Chusquea bamboo is present. Its usual altitude is 1,900 to 3,200 m, though it is also found higher, reaching 3,700 m in western Napo Province, Ecuador. It was described by Stresemann in 1937.
