Napothera epilepidota

The Spot-necked Babbler (Napothera epilepidota) is a medium-sized bird found in the forests of Southeast Asia. It is known for its distinctive spotted neck and chest, as well as its olive-brown upperparts and white underparts. This babbler is typically found foraging on the forest floor for insects and small invertebrates, often in small groups. Its melodious calls can be heard echoing through the dense undergrowth. The Spot-necked Babbler is an elusive species, often remaining hidden within the thick vegetation. Its population is currently stable, but it faces threats from habitat loss and fragmentation.
