Geokichla spiloptera (Blyth, 1847)

Spot-winged Thrush, Geokichla spiloptera, is a thrush of Sri Lanka in the family Turdidae. It is a resident breeder in the Oriental Region and is found in hill rainforests, with some use of drier woodland. The species is known for its double wing bar made of white spots. It also has a pale face marked by two dark bars, white underparts with heavy spotting, a black bill and yellow legs. It is an uncommon bird, usually solitary and often hard to see in thick undergrowth and bamboo clumps.
