Square-tailed Bulbul Hypsipetes ganeesa is a passerine bird in the bulbul family Pycnonotidae. It breeds in the Oriental Region, in south-western India and Sri Lanka. Described by Sykes in 1832, it belongs to the order Passeriformes and is part of the bulbul lineage found in this part of southern Asia.
