Square-tailed Drongo-Cuckoo, Surniculus lugubris, is a cuckoo of the Oriental Region, breeding from the north-west Himalayas through south China and south to the Malay Peninsula, the Greater Sundas and the Palawan group in the southern Philippines. It is marked by a downcurved bill, white barring on the vent and outer undertail, and a tail that is only notched with slightly flared tips. A white wing-stripe shows from below in flight. It was described by Horsfield in 1821.
