Sri Lanka Green Pigeon, Treron pompadora, is a pigeon of Sri Lanka’s forests and the species breeds in Sri Lanka. It is placed in the family Columbidae and the order Columbiformes. Many authorities separate it from the pompadour green pigeon complex. In Sri Lanka it is also known by the Sinhala name bata goya, shared with several other green pigeons. The species was first described in 1789 by Gmelin. It is a monotypic bird with no recognised subspecies.
