Sri Lanka Grey Hornbill

Sri Lanka Grey Hornbill, Ocyceros gingalensis, is a hornbill of Sri Lanka and a resident breeder in the Oriental Region. It belongs to the Bucerotiformes and the hornbill family. It is a forest bird and is found in groups, usually in pairs or small flocks of up to five birds. The species is a widespread and common endemic in its range. It has a long, curved bill without a casque, and the sexes differ in bill colour, with the male cream-billed and the female black-billed with a cream stripe.
