St. Kitts Bullfinch, Melopyrrha grandis, is a passerine of the Thraupidae family that breeds in St. Kitts in the Lesser Antilles. It is tied to the island of Saint Kitts and was once placed with the Puerto Rican bullfinch. It can be told from that bird by its greater size, shinier plumage and a more marked breast patch. It was also known locally as the mountain blacksmith. Records place it in montane forest on Mount Liamuiga, and it is considered presumably extinct, although later reports have kept open the possibility that it survives.
