Starry Heteroxenicus

Heteroxenicus stellatus

The Starry Heteroxenicus, scientifically known as Heteroxenicus stellatus, is a small passerine bird found in the temperate forests of North America. It is characterized by its striking star-like plumage pattern, with black and white speckles on its back and wings. The Starry Heteroxenicus is known for its melodious and varied song, often heard during the breeding season. These birds are insectivorous, foraging for insects and spiders among the foliage. They build cup-shaped nests in the dense vegetation of the forest understory. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation pose potential risks to their populations.
