Straight-billed Reedhaunter, Limnoctites rectirostris, is a Furnariidae bird of marshy country in north-eastern Argentina, southern Uruguay and southern Brazil. It is tied to wet pampas and campos, from lowlands up to high ground, and favours swampy places with dense caraguata growth, especially where Eryngium pandanifolium is present. In Brazil it is recorded from Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, and in Argentina from Entre Ríos and the far north-east of Buenos Aires. In Uruguay it has been noted in several departments, including Quebrada de los Cuervos.
