Straneck's Tyrannulet, Serpophaga griseicapilla, is a passerine of the tyrant flycatcher family that occurs in south-western and north-western Argentina, with non-breeding records from Bolivia, northern Argentina, western Uruguay and Paraguay, and possibly Brazil. It was described by Straneck in 2007. The bird is a small member of its family and is the only species in its group. Its breeding range is centred on Argentina, with Bolivia also included in some accounts. It is known from the Monte Desert in the breeding season and from other open and forested habitats outside it.
