Streak-throated Canastero, Asthenes humilis, is a passerine of the Furnariidae family in the Andes of south-western South America, from north-west Peru to northern Bolivia. It lives in puna grassland, often where rocky outcrops are present, and sometimes in places with scattered bushes. The species is mainly a resident, though it has been recorded moving to lower ground in the southern Andes during snowstorms. Its range is split into separate parts, with three recognised subspecies across Peru and Bolivia.
