Streaked Bulbul

Ixos malaccensis

The Streaked Bulbul (Ixos malaccensis) is a medium-sized songbird found in the forests and woodlands of Southeast Asia. It has a distinctive streaked plumage, with brown and white markings on its back and wings, and a yellowish underbelly. This species is known for its melodious and varied songs, often heard in the early morning and late afternoon. Streaked Bulbuls are primarily insectivorous, foraging for insects and small fruits in the forest canopy. They are known for their acrobatic flight and agile movements among tree branches. Despite facing habitat loss due to deforestation, the Streaked Bulbul is still relatively common in its range.
