Streaked Flycatcher

The Streaked Flycatcher is a small passerine bird found in South America. It has a distinctive streaked plumage with a black and white pattern on the head and upperparts. The underparts are pale with faint streaking. This species is often found in open woodland, forest edges, and shrubby areas where it perches to catch insects in mid-air. The Streaked Flycatcher is known for its distinctive call, a sharp 'pik' or 'pik-pik' sound. It is a migratory species, breeding in southern South America and wintering in northern South America. The conservation status of the Streaked Flycatcher is currently classified as Least Concern by the IUCN.
