Streaked Rosefinch, Carpodacus rubicilloides, is a finch of the high mountains of the Palearctic, breeding from the Karakoram and Ladakh through the Himalayas into Tibet, Qinghai, Gansu, Inner Mongolia and north-west Yunnan. It is tied to arid alpine country, and outside the breeding season it moves to lower ground, including villages and fields. It belongs to the family Fringillidae and was described by Przevalski in 1876. Two subspecies are recognised, with one in eastern Tibet and central and southern China, and the other in southern Tibet and the Himalayas.
