Streaked Scrub Warbler

Scotocerca inquieta (Cretzschmar, 1830)

Streaked Scrub Warbler, Scotocerca inquieta, breeds across parts of the Palearctic and in northern Africa, and is also found in south-western Asia. It is a bird of open desert country with scattered scrub, especially in wadi beds, ravines and gorges where cover is a little denser than in the surrounding ground. The species is the only one in Scotocerca and has sometimes been treated in its own family, Scotocercidae. It was first described in 1830 by Cretzschmar.
