Streamer-tailed Tyrant, Gubernetes yetapa, is a passerine of South America, breeding in north Bolivia, east Bolivia and central Brazil to north-east Argentina. It also occurs in Paraguay, and has been recorded as a vagrant in Uruguay. It is the only species in Gubernetes and was first described in 1818. Its range is split, with one population along the upper Beni River in north-western Bolivia and the other spread across a wider belt farther east and south. It lives in wet grassland, marshes, streamside scrub and moriche palm groves.
