Striated Antthrush

Striated Antthrush, Chamaeza nobilis, is a passerine of the Formicariidae family in western and central Amazonia, where it breeds in South America. It was described by Gould in 1855. It occurs in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. The species is mainly a bird of terra firme forest floor with sparse undergrowth, and it is almost entirely terrestrial. It is believed to remain in the same area throughout the year. Three subspecies are recognised, and C. n. fulvipectus has a different breast pattern from the nominate form.
