Striated Bulbul, Alcurus striatus, is a bulbul of the Oriental Region, breeding from the eastern Himalayas to northern Vietnam. It is the only member of the genus Alcurus. Its range also includes north-eastern India, southern China, western and eastern Myanmar, the Mishmi Hills, and northern Indochina. It was first described by Blyth in 1842. Three subspecies are recognised: A. s. striatus, A. s. arctus and A. s. paulus. It has also been known as the striated green bulbul and the striped bulbul.
