Fulvetta striaticollis
The striated fulvetta (Fulvetta striaticollis) is a small, active bird found in the forests and scrublands of the eastern Himalayas, from Nepal to Myanmar. It has a distinctive plumage with brownish-olive upperparts, a pale grey throat, and a buffy-white belly. This species is known for its melodious and varied songs, often heard as it forages in mixed-species flocks. The striated fulvetta primarily feeds on insects and small invertebrates, and it builds cup-shaped nests in dense vegetation. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and degradation are potential future threats to its population.
