Tapera naevia
The Striated Woodcreeper (Tapera naevia) is a slender, long-tailed bird found in the forests and woodlands of South America. It is known for its distinctive streaked plumage, which provides excellent camouflage against tree bark. This species is primarily insectivorous, using its long, decurved bill to probe for insects and spiders in tree crevices. It is often observed moving methodically up tree trunks and branches in search of prey. The Striated Woodcreeper is a relatively common species and is not currently considered to be at risk of extinction.
