Troglodytidae — Wrens

Stripe-backed Wren, Campylorhynchus nuchalis, is a passerine of Colombia and Venezuela in South America, where it occurs in northern Colombia and central Venezuela. It is associated with savannas, dry woodland along watercourses, and farmland, and has been recorded up to 800 m. A notable feature of this wren is its cooperative breeding system. Groups contain two to ten adults, but only one pair breeds, while the others help defend the territory and feed the young before and after fledging. The species was described by Cabanis in 1847.
