Striped Treehunter, Thripadectes holostictus, is a passerine of the ovenbird family found in the Andes from central Colombia to central Bolivia. It lives in montane evergreen forest in the subtropical zone, with a strong preference for Chusquea bamboo thickets, and it also turns up in secondary forest. It usually keeps to the undergrowth. The species is a resident all year. Its breeding season runs from at least August to November, and it nests in a tunnel dug into an earthen bank, with a cup of rootlets at the end.
