Sulawesi Crow

The Sulawesi Crow (Corvus celebensis) is a medium-sized, all-black crow species endemic to the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. It is known for its distinct calls and highly social behavior, often forming large flocks. These crows are adaptable and can be found in a variety of habitats including lowland forests, montane forests, and agricultural areas. They are opportunistic feeders, consuming a wide range of food including fruits, insects, and small vertebrates. The Sulawesi Crow plays an important ecological role in seed dispersal and pest control within its habitat. Despite facing habitat loss and potential threats, its conservation status is currently categorized as Least Concern by the IUCN.
