Caprimulgus concretus

The Sulawesi Nightjar (Caprimulgus concretus) is a species of nightjar found in the forests and woodlands of Sulawesi, Indonesia. This bird is predominantly brown with intricate patterns that provide excellent camouflage against tree bark. It is a nocturnal bird, feeding on insects such as moths and beetles during the night. The Sulawesi Nightjar is known for its distinctive calls, which consist of a series of melodious whistling notes. This species is relatively small in size, with a wingspan of around 50-55 cm. Due to habitat loss and limited information, the conservation status of the Sulawesi Nightjar is currently categorized as Data Deficient by the IUCN.
