Erythropitta celebensis (Müller, S & Schlegel, 1845)
Sulawesi pitta, Erythropitta celebensis, is a pitta of Sulawesi and nearby islands in Indonesia, including Manterawu, the Togian Islands, Butung, Siau, Tahulandang and the Sangihe Islands. It breeds in moist lowland forest. First described in 1845 by Müller and Schlegel, it was once treated as part of the red-bellied pitta. Its range is limited to these islands, and it is associated with forest habitat across this part of Australasia.
