The Sulawesi woodcock (Scolopax rochussenii) is a medium-sized wader found in the forests and wetlands of Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is known for its cryptic plumage, which provides excellent camouflage in its dense forest habitat. This species has a long bill, well-suited for probing the forest floor for invertebrates, its primary food source. The Sulawesi woodcock is primarily nocturnal, foraging under the cover of darkness.
