Sulphur-bellied Bulbul

Aethomyias nigrorufus

The Sulphur-bellied Bulbul (Aethomyias nigrorufus) is a small passerine bird found in the montane forests of Borneo. It is characterized by its distinctive yellow underparts and olive-brown upperparts. This species is known for its melodious and varied songs, which are often heard in the early morning and late afternoon. Sulphur-bellied Bulbuls are primarily insectivorous, foraging for insects and small fruits in the forest canopy. They are often seen in small groups or pairs, and are known for their acrobatic flight patterns. Despite being relatively common within its range, habitat loss and fragmentation pose threats to its populations.
