Sulphur-bellied Tyrannulet, Mecocerculus minor, is a passerine of the tyrant flycatcher family that breeds in northern South America, from Venezuela and Colombia to northern Peru. It is a resident bird of humid montane forest on Andean slopes, especially in subtropical and temperate zones. It is most often associated with secondary growth, forest margins, broken cloudforest and clearings with scattered trees rather than intact mature forest. The sexes are alike, and adults show a grey crown, a narrow white eyebrow, a dark line through the eye, and bright yellow underparts with a sulphur-toned belly.
